Welcome to the Canadian Veteran Resource App (the "App"). The App is developed and operated by [Your Name/Company Name], located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada (referred to as "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you (the "User" or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (the "Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and us. We recommend that you read them carefully. We may update these Terms from time to time, and your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
1. Description of the App
The App is a free resource aggregator that compiles and provides links to various veteran-related resources, organizations, and services available in Canada. It serves as a directory of publicly available information and does not create, endorse, or manage any of the linked resources. The App is provided for informational purposes only and does not offer any services, advice, or support directly.
We make no representations or warranties about the accuracy, completeness, availability, or suitability of any information or links provided in the App. All content is sourced from third-party websites and organizations, and we do not control or verify it.
2. Eligibility and User Accounts

3. User Conduct and Obligations
-
You agree to use the App solely for personal, non-commercial purposes.
-
You agree not to misuse the App, including but not limited to: attempting to reverse-engineer it, introducing viruses or malware, or using it in a way that violates any laws.
-
By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that:
-
The App does not provide any services, including financial, medical, legal, counseling, or other professional services.
-
The App does not offer in-person care, online support, messaging, or any form of direct assistance.
-
You will not contact or attempt to contact the owners, developers, or operators of the App (including via email, phone, social media, or any other means) to request services, support, or assistance related to veteran resources or any other matters. Any such attempts will be ignored, and repeated violations may result in your access to the App being restricted.
-
-
You are solely responsible for your interactions with any third-party resources, organizations, or services accessed via links in the App.
4. Disclaimers
-
No Guarantees: The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or free from viruses.

Clicking on any link is at your own risk, and we disclaim all liability for any harm, loss, or damage arising from your use of or reliance on such links or third-party services.
-
No Endorsement: Inclusion of any link or resource in the App does not imply endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship by us.
-
No Services Provided: The App does not provide any direct services, financial aid, care, or support. It is solely a directory of external links.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we, our affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App, including but not limited to:
-
Any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in the content.
-
Any harm from third-party links, services, or organizations.
-
Any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
-
Any claims related to the App's functionality or availability.
In no event shall our total liability to you exceed one Canadian dollar (CAD $1.00), regardless of the cause of action. This limitation applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Note on Legality: While this limitation is included as per your request, enforceability may vary by jurisdiction. In some cases (e.g., under Canadian consumer protection laws), such extreme limitations on liability may not be fully enforceable if deemed unconscionable or against public policy. We strongly recommend consulting a lawyer to confirm its validity.
6. Indemnification and Release of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 176
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless us, our affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
-
Your use of the App.
-
Your violation of these Terms.
-
Your interactions with any third-party resources accessed via the App.
You further agree to take no legal or other action of any kind against Royal Canadian Legion Branch 176 (or its members, officers, volunteers, or affiliates) for any reason related to the hosting, support, or any other involvement of Branch 176 in connection with the App or its content. This release is binding on you, your heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns.
7. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding mediation by a neutral third-party mediator selected by us. Mediation shall take place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, or virtually if agreed upon. You agree to bear all costs associated with the mediation, including mediator fees, your own legal fees, and any other expenses.
The mediator's decision shall be final and binding. No court proceedings or arbitration shall be initiated unless mediation fails to resolve the dispute within 60 days. This provision does not prevent us from seeking injunctive relief in court to protect our intellectual property or enforce these Terms.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of laws principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Edmonton, Alberta, for any disputes not resolved through mediation.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, for any reason, without notice.

-
Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.
